Sage worksheet for creating algebraic starscapes
You will find a Sage worksheet for use with Sage Mathematics Software at this github repository.
SL(View) by David Dumas
David Dumas has created software SL(View) for viewing point clouds on a solid torus.
If you wish to recreate our pictures from the paper, you’ll need starscape datasets to upload to it.
Here’s a zipped archive of all of them.
If you just want to see all cubics from the paper, use this file.
If you want to see the mobius band in the paper, use this file.
The filenames indicate the families, e.g. 1AB1_Disc60.json indicates the family x^3 + Ax^2 + Bx + 1, with discriminants up to 60.
Viewing the JSON files in a text editor will provide more specific information.
